Infospectrum’s Graduate Scheme 2022

Over the course of 20+ years, Infospectrum has grown to be a leading independent provider of counterparty risk appraisal reports and KYC due diligence information, in the maritime, energy and commodities trading sectors.

Infospectrum’s graduate scheme is commencing Autumn 2022 and we are now taking applications from ambitious talent eager to learn and develop a career in the due diligence/risk management arena.

The Scheme

Over the course of 6 months, successful candidates will be taken through a comprehensive training programme with the support of a dedicated Training Manager, a global team of 45 experienced Analysts, and fellow Graduate recruits. The scheme is designed to help appointees build expertise in the fundamentals of performing in-depth commercial due diligence, researching, assessing and reporting on credit and counterparty risk in the maritime, energy and commodity trading sectors.

We are looking for critical thinkers with an analytical mindset, and excellent qualitative and quantitative research and problem-solving skills, combined with strong written and verbal English. Additional languages are advantageous, but not essential.

What we’re looking for in you

  • A minimum expected 2:1 degree, ideally in finance, economics, business, maritime, law or journalism
  • Commercially-minded, with a specific interest in the Maritime, Commodity or Energy trading sectors
  • Strong written/verbal communication and interviewing skills
  • An inquisitive, and analytical mindset, combined with critical reasoning
  • A drive to learn and master the fundamentals of effective due diligence research, risk assessment and professional reporting
  • The ability to work to/meet strict deadlines

Credit Risk Analyst – Greek Desk

We are currently expanding our global Analyst team and have a requirement to recruit a Credit Risk Analyst for our Greek Desk based in London, with remote working days available. The role will focus on preparing assessments on the counterparty/credit risk of companies in the shipping and commodity trading sectors, working within Infospectrum’s multinational team of almost 50 analysts worldwide.

We want to hear from talented individuals with analytical skills, and a business/finance-focused, research-oriented background, allied to a 2.1 degree from a leading academic institution, or an equivalent professional qualification. The nature of the position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to research, assimilate, interpret and analyse detailed information, and present it in clear, concisely-written English to tight deadlines.

A high level of integrity and trust is essential, and a proven and successful track record, in a risk management capacity, in the shipping or energy/commodity trading sectors or relevant experience from the financial or auditing sectors, will be advantageous. From our formation in the UK in 1999, we have expanded globally with offices in the UK (Oxford and London), Germany, Singapore, Australia, Canada, North America and a presence in Ukraine.

We are currently expanding our Global Analyst team and have a requirement to recruit a Credit Risk Analyst. The role will focus on researching, analysing and preparing profile reports on counterparty/credit risk of companies in the shipping and commodity trading sectors with an emphasis on covering the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East regions.

We want to hear from talented individuals with an analytical and business-focused commercial and research background, allied to a 2.1 degree from a leading academic institution.

The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to research, assimilate, interpret and analyse detailed information, and present it in clear, concisely-written English to tight deadlines.

A high level of integrity and trust is essential, and a proven and successful track record in the shipping, energy or commodity trading sectors, as well as fluency in other South Asian regional languages or Arabic, will be advantageous.
